FROM THE IDEA OF COMMERCIALIZING AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS
The journey of bringing Golden berry to Vietnamese people by Ms. Bui Thi Nga, a former student of Nong Lam University in Ho Chi Minh City.
Boldly starting a business with golden berry, Ms. Bui Thi Nga - founder of the famous Physalisvn product brand has not only brought success to herself but also brought agricultural economic value to farmers locally.
Bring the value of golden berry to consumers
In 2016, Ms. Bui Thi Nga had an idea to commercialize the fruit in the Vietnamese market. She started researching and experimenting with different varieties of golden berry in Lam Dong and other soils. While researching and making products, she was looking for financial resources to develop the project by participating in startup competitions.
In 2017, she brought her product to the Startup Ideas contest organized by the Business Research and Business Support Center (BSA) with the aim of learning and finding financial resources to support the project later. At that time, in Vietnam, the product was very new, she attracted the attention of the media at that time. However, because she could not find the financial resources, it took two years for Ms. Nga to complete the product herself and start selling it under the brand name Physalisvn.
Looking back over the years, she is probably like many other entrepreneurs, lacking and facing many difficulties. From people, products to finance, all are challenges for her. "I'm really not good at "calling capital", until now I have never been able to access any capital to invest in startups or the state's preferential programs. It's all my own management and self-control, do many things to have money to support the project", Ms. Nga shared the difficulties when starting a business.
In the first stage, because there was no money to hire workers, Ms. Nga did everything from sorting, packing, sales, delivery, debt, etc. She had almost no days off and had to spend very frugally and thrifty. After the scale of the project increased, she hired more staff to help with the work. When it comes to revenue, the financial problem is the most "headache" for her. She continued to borrow from friends, relatives and banks to ensure the company's cash flow.
Ms. Nga shared that, in order to get to this day, she herself saw that the project could not be called a complete success, but she was also proud because over the years she had persevered through hardships and hardships, Build yourself a well-known brand. "I'm the only one who is engaged in agriculture, while most of my friends are successful in real estate and other businesses, but that's not why I'm depressed and heartbroken." Ms. Nga said.
Elevate the value of golden berry
Song Nga International Co., Ltd was established in early 2019 by Ms. Bui Thi Nga with the product brand name Physalisvn. The products that Song Nga offer to the market are very diverse such as fresh golden berry, concentrated golden berry, dried golden berry, jam, and leaf tea. Recently, Physalisvn has added red raspberries, blackberries and Dalat strawberries to its distribution list.
The difference in Physalisvn products is that the entire process of growing to harvesting, preliminary processing, packaging, processing and transporting to distributors is managed in a closed and strict manner to ensure quality, food hygiene and safety.
"I think that a good nutritional product must be accompanied by safety, if the product sounds good but has no origin, consumers can't bring it to check every day. Quality and transparency are the responsibility of the producer, and I would like to take that responsibility on my shoulders, which is to protect consumers, protect the sustainability of the farmers who are cooperating with Physalisvn", Ms. Nga shared.
From a local agricultural product that is not focused on by farmers, Ms. Bui Thi Nga has breathed her soul into her purse to produce useful products for public health. To reach the success of today, she has put all her passion, energy and soul into the product. Her happiness is growing every day as the market accepts and expands.
Physalisvn has a habit of giving away its processed products for farmers to enjoy, farmers are proud to cooperate with Physalisvn.
She always listens to every customer's comments, compliments are silently happy, criticism is acknowledged and corrected to be better. And if the goods delivered to the customer have any problems related to manufacturing defects or the carrier, Physalisvn is willing to return the goods as quickly as possible to the customer, not to make the customer uncomfortable about this. She and Song Nga's staff consider sales as a service, so they always respect the interests of customers.
However, what Ms. Nga is most proud of is that after her own persistent efforts, she has partly changed the mindset of farmers, bringing them into the value chain of the squeeze. Ms. Nga said: Farmers are the first link in this value chain, they are proud to use their own products without having to worry about the situation of other agricultural products. for sale never eat to because they know they spray too toxic. Nga's sister company requires farmers to keep a diary of their own crops, at the same time, staff to follow the scene of the raw material area, and regularly take random samples to check residues, this is a quality control plan. Optimum quality to maintain brand quality.
What the female owner of Physalisvn has been doing is to create stability for farmers, so that they can rest assured to produce in the field, without having to worry about the loss of the crop, the loss of the crop. Nga's strongest wish is that farmers who cooperate with Physalisvn will have a better quality of life in terms of material, health and spirit.
